Description
City Lights Gallery invites LGBTQ+ artists and allies to submit art for "OUTwork," a yearly exhibit that launches during Greater Bridgeport Pride in June. The deadline for submission is May 12, 2026. OUTwork explores issues of gender, LGBTQ+ life, love and relationships, family, social justice, bias, personal stories and perspectives, pride, current issues of 2026, etc. Artists need not be gay, lesbian, nonbinary, or transgender to participate. Allies are welcome. The intention is to support the greatest possible inclusion and to create a platform for people of diverse backgrounds to meet and exchange ideas and want to express their support and respect. SEND SUBMISSIONS IN JPEG FORMAT, (no more than 8 images), 72 DPI, DUE BY MAY 12 to: clgallerybpt@gmail.com City Lights is a nonprofit arts organization located in downtown Bridgeport, CT that serves the community through art, easily accessible by Metro-North, Port Jeff Ferry, I-95 and the Merritt Parkway via the Route 25 Connector.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
NECESSARY INFO TO INCLUDE WITH SUBMISSION: Brief artist's statement, itemized list of art submitted should include: title, size, medium, price of work, Works not for sale should include a value rather than a price. Also include artist’s contact info: name, email, phone (evening and daytime numbers), mailing address and website if available. There is no size limit to the dimension of art submitted, however larger works, over 60″ will be subject to space limitations.
