Every two years, Antenna Press awards 5 recipients the opportunity to publish their thoroughly developed book projects through The Antenna Press Publishing Award. Projects can be unique and creative interpretations of all types of publications including but not limited to artist books, chapbooks, photo books, comics, graphic novels, guidebooks, and how-to guides. Aligning with Antenna’s mission, we are specifically interested in publishing ideas that, and are at the intersection of gender and identity, the environment, equity, renewable resources, abolition, restorative justice, and the histories of the Gulf South. Please see below for information on our info session in May & June. Emerging and established artists and writers from all disciplines are encouraged to apply. We welcome submissions from Black, Indigenous, people of color, women, immigrants, people with disabilities, LGBTQ-GNC+ folks and artists at other marginalized intersections. We are committed to publishing the voices of artists known and unknown, particularly those who interpret ideas through the lens of New Orleans or have connections to the City or the Gulf South region. One award is given out nationally to individuals or groups while the other four are given to individuals or groups based in the Gulf South region (Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and Texas). We do not accept applications from international applicants at the moment. Please email pmprograms@antenna.works with any questions.
