The Native Arts + Cultures Foundation (NACF) is accepting applications for the 2025 LIFT – Early Career Support for Native Artists program. The deadline to apply is April 8, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. (Pacific Time). For this cycle, NACF will award multiple $15,000 grants to emerging Native artists to develop and realize new projects over a one-year period. LIFT provides comprehensive support beyond funding, including artist professional development, mentorship, project evaluation, documentation, and communications/marketing assistance—helping artists refine their craft, advance their careers, and establish their place as vital creative voices in their communities. Now in its fourth iteration, LIFT builds upon NACF’s commitment to expanding opportunities for early-career Native artists. The program encourages artists to uplift their communities, advance positive social change, and engage with critical issues, including cultural sovereignty, environmental and social justice, healing, and systemic change. The 2025 LIFT awardees will be Native artists who demonstrate an exceptional commitment to their practice and a strong vision for a new project that will contribute to their artistic and professional growth. The award period will run from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026.
